The object of the game is to beat the dealer by getting closest to 21 without going over. First, place a bet. The dealer reveals their hand. If you both have blackjack with your first two cards, then it is a tie or “push” and you get the bet money back. If you did not get blackjack, then the dealer wins even if you total 21. Blackjack beats a 21 total and you lose your bet money. If you are closest to 21, then you win the blackjack game and the dealer has to match your bet money as winnings, plus give back the initial bet money. Different tricks are used to increase the amount of money made in a blackjack game.

Duplicate cards can be split into two hands, which give you another opportunity to beat the dealer. Doubling down or doubling your bet on the hand means you feel the next card beats the dealer’s hand. Buying insurance on hands mean you feel the dealer was dealt blackjack and this lets you win monies even though you have a losing hand. Progressive blackjack is slightly different from the traditional blackjack game in that it allows you to increase the monetary amount made per next game played. Progressive games such as this allow for a progressive jackpot play.
